Our Collaboration with Ramakrishna Math and Mission
Abbhi Trust is proud to collaborate with two esteemed organizations, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, renowned for their century-long commitment to various humanitarian and social service activities.
In association with Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, and Sri Ramakrishna Seva Sangha, we have embarked on a pioneering project to promote "Seva Mandiras" in rural areas. This initiative aligns with Swami Vivekananda's call to serve the neglected masses in remote villages.
The name "Seva Mandira" reflects our core belief: service itself is regarded as worship to the divine.
What is a Seva Mandira?
The primary objective of Seva Mandiras is to provide holistic support to the rural poor, encompassing cultural, spiritual, and academic aspects, all under one roof. Each Seva Mandira serves multiple vital functions for the community.

We emphasize the worship of the Holy Trio – Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda – alongside the worship of local deities. This philosophy guides every aspect of our work in rural communities.
Swami Vivekananda's Vision

"The easiest way is to take a hut – make it a temple of Guru Maharaj! Let the poor come here to be helped, and also to worship. Let there be Katha (Puranic recitals) morning and evening there – through that, you may teach all you want to teach the people."
Swami Vivekananda envisioned hut temples evolving into great institutions, with relief work proceeding from these central spots in each district.
